It’s finally the last week of classes of the fall semester…. It feels amazing to almost be done, but scary at the same time. I want it to hurry up and end, but at the same time, I don’t because I didn’t have enough time to raise my grades! If only I had studied harder. Or played harder. I feel like I half-assed both. Haha. It’s good to be young, though. You can screw up, study hard, stay up all night at the library, burn through a two-hour exam, go party, wake up early in the morning, go to a service event for your club, come back and nap, and then party some more.
Sometimes, I wish college would last forever. Other times, it’s unbearable and I wish I could get the hell out of here ASAP.
Something I haven’t been able to get away from even after Thanksgiving break is the temptation of FOOD. I was supposed to be on a diet after OD’ing on tryptophan this weekend, but I’ve been eating ridiculous amounts of everything and anything I can get. I’m not normally the type of person to eat out or eat a lot of junk food, but this week has been kind of crazy.
Get ready for some food porn.
First off, it was In-n-Out with the best friend. If you don’t live in California, you are deprived… Nevada is lucky enough that we have decided to share with them. I killed off a burger and animal style fries before watching Pirate Radio in Long Beach (Very cute indie flick FYI. Loved the soundtrack all that classic ’60s rock. Eye candy = Mark. Seriously, go watch it.)

When I came back to school on Sunday night, the roommate brought banberry pie with her from Polly’s. AMAJJIIINNNGGGG. Polly’s is much MUCH better than Marie Callendar’s. I think it’s a bit of a smaller franchise, but they have several locations in Orange County, and their pies are so so good…. The crust is flaky, crispy, and doeesn’t fall apart on you when you take it out of the tin. I could eat an entire pumpkin pie from Polly’s by myself if I really put my mind to it. If you live near a Polly’s, consider yourself blessed. There’s one next to my dad’s office and I used to get pie there all the time when I was a kid. Tastes like home.

El Taurino. Mmmmm. SC kids love El Taurino. This is my second time having it in the span of a week. Can’t get enough of the sopes and tacos. And their tortas. With a large Horchata thank you very much. And lots of hot sauce and all that smelly queso. Oh yes. Guess what I just figured out today? Queso + Tortilla = Quesadilla. Damn. I felt genious when I figured that out.

Last but not least, brownies. Yes, the supernatural brownies are back. Just threw together a little something for the last JunAcc that I’ll ever attend. Ever. Forever. LAST ONE FOREVER GUYS. There’s always senior accountability next year though. :]

And because of all that junk, I decided to take a little healthy step with some winter fruit…
tangerine
I effing love tangerines. I eat an entire box with my sister in one sitting during the wintertime. They also remind me of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.” One of my favorite romantic movies. WATCH IT NOW.
I’m really tired now… Been a long day. Hope you enjoyed the food porn. Goodbye now while I crash burn and die.
Tacos – street tacos on York Blvd. at night in Highland Park
and
Tortas – Super Tortas on Alvarado.
Trust me! Only thing El Taurino got is the late hours, I’ll give them that.
